Yeshua's Ministry

Hi! I'm Pastor Floyd! I wish I had a photograph of you, too, so that I could visualize to whom I am talking! But Yahuah Hayah, the Self-Existent, Eternal I AM, the Creator of all and King over it, knows who you are; and that's all that matters!

Welcome to our friends all over the world! Whoever you are, whatever time of day it is for you, the amazing and wonderful thing is that we are together for this hour, fulfilling Yahuah's prophecy through Yeshua:

This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come! (Matthew 24:14)

Last week our beloved son who is D.J.'s husband suggested that opening and closing prayers would be appropriate for our Bible study; and I could not have agreed with him more wholeheartedly! At the age of 88, I need all the help I can get to stay mindful of what I should be doing; and honoring Yahuah Hayah at the beginning and end of the study by speaking directly to Him would be a wonderful improvement! So, here goes:

Our heavenly Father, I am so grateful to you for having given me a voice being heard all over the world in these last days through our son's wonderful technology and D.J.'s gracious hospitality! What is happening in our fellowship, right now, is awesome in its importance! And I believe it is a sign of the times, to expect Yeshua's return to Earth at any time! It is the most exciting thing that has happened to me in 42 years of studying Your word; and I thank you and praise you for it.

Father, I want to remember the sister who contacted D.J. about a brother's heart problem. I have spoken to his heart and commanded that it be healed, in the mighty name of Yeshua! And we rejoice that it is done, Father, by Your marvelous faithfulness to answer the prayers of Your beloved children! And we give you all the praise and the glory for it.

Thank you for being with us, now; and, as I speak your word, make it alive in the hearts of all who are hearing me; and we will give you all the praise and the glory for that, as well! Amen!

I want to express my appreciation for all those whose hearts have been stirred by these presentations and have responded by words, supportive or otherwise, expressing how you have felt by what you have heard! I do not have enough lifetimes to respond to each of these welcome communications personally! So I want to speak Yahuah Hayah's special blessing on you, for taking the time to give us your thoughts on these topics; He knows what you have written; and for my sake His reward is already blessing you for it, as I speak!

It might well be asked how it is that I can speak to a problem such as the heart of a brother and "receive it as done", with praise and gratitude on my lips; and that is a perfect reason to tell you, here and now, about the "dominion" that Yahuah Hayah has given to each and every one of us, His beloved children! He wrote, through His recorder, of Adam and Eve:

God blessed them, and God said, unto them, Be fruitful and multiply, replenish the Earth and subdue it: and have dominion, over the fish of the sea, over the fowl of the air and over every living thing that moveth upon the Earth! (Genesis 1:28)

Do you and I "live and move upon the Earth"? Of course we do, so the human dominion relates to us as well as to the fish, birds and animals that make our Earth so enjoyable!

"Dominion" is the translation of a word meaning "to tread down, i.e. subjugate; specifically, to crumble off"! (Strong: Hebrew: 7287) So in giving us our "dominion" Yahuah Hayah has given us authority over our world, to make it subject to us; and where it is giving us a hard time, we can make it "crumble" or bow to our will! Then, when Yahuah had sent Yeshua into the world, to walk among and teach us, His beloved children, Yeshua described how that "dominion" works! He said:

22 Have faith in God! 23 For verily I say, unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe that those things that he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith! 24 Therefore I say, unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. (Mark 11:22 to 24)

Has Yahuah Hayah asked, through Yeshua, that we "receive" what does not exist? Hardly! So "when ye pray" He immediately puts into ha Kodesh Ruach, His Holy Spirit, the answer to our prayer, which is why when the user of his dominion has said to his "mountain, Be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe that those things that he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith"!

It might be that a hundred families live on the mountain one has marked for destruction! So, needless to say, it would take a while for Yahuah Hayah to arrange for the moving of all those families! But should the user of his dominion be patient and never discouraged, regardless of how long it takes, he will surely see his mountain moved! And whatever problem has been represented by the mountain will have been moved right along with it.

One does not need to get into "vain repetitions" (Matthew 6:7), as Yeshua said; Yahuah Hayah hears us the first time. What we need to do is to hear ourselves, the first time and never be moved from expecting Yahuah's faithful answer! So I don't care what goes on, our brother with the heart problem is healed! And I have been celebrating that victory in my spirit ever since I first spoke to his heart; and I invite all of you hearing me, right now, to join in that celebration.

Yeshua told of a judge "who feared not God, neither regarded man"! (Luke 18:2)

3 There was a widow in that city; and she came, unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary! 4 And he would not, for a while: but afterward he said, within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; 5 yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. 6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. 7 And shall not God avenge His own elect, who cry day and night unto Him, though He bear long with them? 8 I tell you that He will avenge them speedily! Nevertheless, when the Son of man cometh, shall He find faith on the Earth? (Luke 18:3 to 8)

Did you know that agreement in prayer is especially powerful? Yahuah Hayah said, through Yeshua: "19 If two of you shall agree on Earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of My Father Who is in Heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them." (Matthew 18:19 and 20) So let's all speak to our brother's heart that it be healed and watch the glory of Yahuah Hayah show Himself on his body and heal it from the top of his head to the bottom of his feet! Glory! What marvelous privileges we have in Yahuah!

With those important matters taken care of, let's get back to the 53rd Chapter in Isaiah, where we left off last week! We were looking deeply into one of the most profound passages in Yahuah Hayah's Holy Bible, which deals with the reason why He asked Yeshua to lay down His life! (John 10:17 and 18)

6 All we, like sheep, have gone astray! We have turned, every one, to his own way; and Yahuah hath laid, on Him, the iniquity of us all! (Isaiah 53:6)

For the transgression of My people was He stricken! (Isaiah 53:8)

9 He had done no violence, neither was any deceit in His mouth. 10 Yet it pleased Yahuah to bruise Him. He hath put Him to grief! (Isaiah 53:9 and 10)

10 When Yahuah shall make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed! He shall prolong His days! And the pleasure of Yahuah shall prosper in His hand! 11 He shall see of the travail of His soul and shall be satisfied! By His knowledge shall My righteous Servant justify many! For He shall bear their iniquities! (Isaiah 53:10 and 11)

Let us seek Yahuah's wisdom on what all that means! Because misunderstanding it can virtually ruin what Yahuah intended to be its amazing result! There are, actually, people who mistakenly visualize Yahuah's putting the punishment for the sins of all His children on Yeshua and making Him suffer in their place! But I have already shown how that would violate one of Yahuah's commandments:

The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers! Every man shall be put to death for his own sin. (Deuteronomy 24:16)

So in what sense, then, did Yahuah lay on Yeshua "the iniquity of us all"? (Isaiah 53:6)

Why was Yeshua “stricken” "for the transgression of My people"? (Isaiah 53:8)

With Yeshua's having "done no violence", with no "deceit in His mouth" (Isaiah 63:9), how is it possible that "it pleased Yahuah to bruise Him" and "put Him to grief"? (Verse 10)

For what reason did it please Yahuah "to bruise Him" or "put Him to grief"? (Isaiah 53:10)

I submit that Yahuah Hayah's asking Yeshua to submit to unthinkable suffering and death was to remedy Yahuah's "sheep" having "gone astray"! It was to have Him do something that would deeply affect those sheep, to bring them back into Yahuah's "one fold" with "one shepherd'! (John 10:16) Yeshua said: "I am ... come to call ... sinners to repentance!" (Matthew 9:13)

"Repent" (Matthew 4:17) means to "think differently"! (Strong: Greek: 3340); and "sin is the transgression of the law" (1st John 3:4); so Yeshua knew that the purpose of His laying down His life would be to cause Yahuah's beloved children to "think differently" about their "transgression of the law"! For what would be done to Him would be the most grievous transgression of the law that mankind had ever seen or ever will see!

With His children having seen that terrible transgression committed against the gentle and kind yet mighty Son of God, "Who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed of the Devil" (Acts 10:38), Yahuah Hayah wrote, through His author:

How much more shall the blood of Christ ... purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? (Hebrews 9:14)

In all the sacrificing of innocent lambs by His beloved children, Yahuah had been working ineffectively to accomplish the same thing! He said, through His author, of those sacrifices, that they were

a figure for the time then present ... that could not make him who did the service perfect as pertaining to the conscience! (Hebrews 9:9)

Granting the imperfection, making "perfect as pertaining to the conscience" was, indeed, the purpose of all those sacrifices! And I believe that fulfilling the atoning part of Yahuah Hayah's Torah is what Yeshua had in mind, when He said:

17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law or the prophets: I am not come to destroy but to fulfill! 18 For verily I say, unto you, Till Heaven and Earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. (Matthew 5:17 and 18)

What is the fulfillment of a law? Is it not when it is obeyed?

Yeshua knew that it was His assigned task to be "the Lamb of God" (John 1:29) whose sacrifice would go farther to bring Yahuah's beloved children into obeying His Torah than any part of His "atonement" (Numbers 15:28) had succeeded in doing up until His coming into the world! Let us see how Yahuah Hayah expected that Yeshua would handle His trying assignment: Yahuah wrote, through His prophet:

7 He was oppressed! And He was afflicted! Yet He opened not His mouth! He is brought, as a lamb, to the slaughter! And, as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so He openeth not His mouth! 8 He was taken from prison and from judgment! And who shall declare His generation? For He was cut off out of the land of the living! ... 9 He made His grave with the wicked and with the rich, in His death.

All of that was written before the fact of Yeshua's sacrifice, His apostle Peter writing of it after the fact:

21 Christ suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow His steps, 22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in His mouth: 23 Who, when He was reviled, reviled not again; when He suffered, He threatened not; but committed Himself to Him Who judgeth righteously! 24 Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness, by Whose stripes ye were healed! 25 For ye were as sheep going astray but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls! (1st Peter 2:21 to 25)

How closely that matches what Yahuah Hayah anticipated through Isaiah would be how Yeshua would handle His unspeakable trial! He handled it well; because He was God, the Word, and indeed wanted to be a good "example, that ye should follow His steps". (1st Peter 2:21)

But, wait a minute! What is this about following in Yeshua's steps?

When Yeshua appeared to His disciples after rising from the dead, He said: "As My Father hath sent Me, even so send I you!" (John 20:21) When the Father sent Yeshua, He sent Him via the cross! Are we to be sent via the same treatment?

Before He went to the cross, Yeshua told His disciples: "Whosoever doth not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple!" (Luke 14:27)

Did not Yeshua say that He came to “fulfill … the law, or the prophets”? (Matthew 5:17)

Would that not mean that He would be doing something that would cause His Father's Torah or law to be obeyed?

Did not Yahuah Hayah write through His author: "How much more shall the blood of Christ ... purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?" (Hebrews 9:14)

That question shows that in laying down His life Yeshua did something that would cause His Father's Torah or law to be obeyed! Is that not what a "fulfilled" law is?

And He also said: "Till Heaven and Earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled!" (Matthew 5:18) Would not a law where "all is fulfilled" be a law that is being completely obeyed?

And now we find that, having done something that would cause His Father's law to be obeyed, Yeshua sent forth His disciples to do the same thing, presumably by laying down their lives as well, until “all be fulfilled”! (Matthew 5:18)

But now look at the world! Has such brazen outspoken widespread wickedness ever been witnessed before? Where Satan is being publicly worshiped over the entire Earth?

Yeshua will soon be returning! "And one shall say, unto Him, What are these wounds in Thine hands? Then He shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of My friends!" (Zechariah 13:6)

That will be touching, indeed! But it will not be what carries the awful yet marvelous day that we have not yet seen – "awful", if one has been contrary to Yahuah Hayah and His Torah, yet "marvelous", if one has been keeping, observing, guarding or putting a value on Him and the commandments of His Torah or law! For He wrote, through Yeshua, through His faithful apostle John, of Yeshua's return:

11 I saw Heaven opened, and behold a white horse! And He Who sat upon it was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He doth judge and make war! 12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns; and He had a name written, that no man knew but He Himself! 13 He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and His name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies who were in Heaven followed Him, upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean! 15 And out of His mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations! And He shall rule them with a rod of iron! And He treadeth the wine press of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 He hath on His vesture and on His thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. 17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried, with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of Heaven, Come and gather yourselves together, unto the supper of the great God, 18 that ye may eat the flesh of kings, of captains and of mighty men, the flesh of horses and of them who sit on them and the flesh of all men both free and bond, both small and great! (Revelation 19:11 to 18)

When Yeshua returns, it will be "the end" (Matthew 24:14) of Yahuah Hayah's centuries-long, merciful approach to coaxing His beloved children to repent and return to keeping, observing, guarding and putting a value on the commandments of His Torah by the sacrifice first of Yeshua and then by the sacrifice of untold thousands of His disciples! Yahuah Hayah's Torah or law will have been "fulfilled" insofar as His children will have chosen to follow Yeshua and sacrificially do things to cause other children to repent and return to keeping, observing, guarding and putting a value on the commandments of His Torah or law!

Then it will be time for Yeshua to "judge and make war"! (Revelation 19:11) And, instead of coming as Yahuah's "Lamb" (John 1:29), Yeshua will come with "a sharp sword" in His mouth, "that with it He should smite the nations"! And He shall rule them with a rod of iron", treading "the wine press of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God"! (Revelation 19:15)

We are still in Yahuah Hayah's period of awesome "grace", during which, as a loving Father, He is still using His willing children to spread "this gospel of the kingdom ... for a witness unto all nations" before "the end come" (Matthew 24:14); but, when "the end" does come, it will be the end of His patience and the end of the amazing opportunity He is still holding out to His beloved children to come and be the loved and awesomely accommodated offspring that He has intended they be since the beginning of His creation!

In the place of that loving and patient offer of glorious fulfillment will be Yahuah Hayah's ruling of the nations through Yeshua as the wielder of His "rod of iron"! People will obey Him not from loving Him and wanting to please Him, for which He rewards them, but out of fear for the pain of His rod, for which forced obedience He will have no reward but mere tolerance of their presence as beings of His creation, even as His plants and animals are today!

In stark contrast to that scene of blazing victory is Isaiah's description of what Yeshua went through before, as Yahuah Hayah's "Lamb"! (John 1:29) And, once again we are obliged to sort out the elements contained in that prophecy, so as not to reach a faulty conclusion!

For the transgression of My people was He stricken! (Isaiah 53:8)

"For" is a word inserted into the English text without any Hebrew on which to base it. So my online Merriam-Webster calls it a "function word" to "indicate" different things:

a —used as a function word to indicate purpose: "a grant for studying medicine"

b —used as a function word to indicate an intended goal: "left for home", "acted for the best"

c —used as a function word to indicate the object or recipient of a perception, desire or activity: "now for a good rest", "run for your life", "an eye for a bargain"

In the prophetic statement using the preposition "for", we might well substitute "because of" to obtain a clearer understanding:

"Because of" the transgression of My people was He stricken! (Isaiah 53:8)

That helps us to see a plausible relationship between "the transgression of My people" and Yeshua's being "stricken"; but it leaves open the question of why! What would Yeshua's being "stricken" have to do with any remedy for "the transgression of My people"?

It pleased Yahuah to bruise Him. (Isaiah 53:10)

We gather that; obviously, it was Yahuah Hayah's will that Yeshua be bruised; but we are still bothered to know why!

When Yahuah shall make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed! He shall prolong His days! And the pleasure of Yahuah shall prosper in His hand! 11 He shall see of the travail of His soul and shall be satisfied! By His knowledge shall My righteous servant justify many; for He shall bear their iniquities! (Isaiah 53:6 to 11)

This is what I believe that passage means:

When Yahuah shall make Yeshua's soul an offering for sin, Yahuah shall see His seed or children! The consciences of some children will be purged "to serve the living God"! (Hebrews 9:14) And that will make them "see-able" or worthy of recognition by Yahuah.

As a result, Yahuah's "pleasure … shall prosper in" Yeshua's hand!

Yahuah Hayah "shall see of the travail of" Yeshua's soul; and, because of the purging of consciences that it will have inspired, Yahuah "shall be satisfied"!

By the "knowledge" in Yahuah Hayah's children of what was done to Yeshua, He will have "justified many"; for they will have repented and returned to observing, keeping, guarding and putting a value on the commandments of Yahuah's Torah or law, which satisfies His requirement for "our righteousness"! (Deuteronomy 6:25)

Yeshua will have born the suffering and death that "their iniquities" had required, to bring them to the "repentance" (Matthew 9:13) to which His suffering and death would "call" them! (Verse 13)

If you can figure out anything more helpful, by all means go for it. The above is the best I can do after 42 years of struggling with these issues!

Having dealt with all these heavy-duty considerations, let's take a breather and see what Matthew has Yeshua doing next in his gospel:

18 When Jesus saw great multitudes about Him, He gave commandment to depart unto the other side! 19 And a certain scribe came and said, unto him, Master, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest! 20 And Jesus saith, unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head! (Matthew 8:18 to 20)

Yeshua's reply to the well-meaning offer of the scribe seemed to ask, "Are you prepared to sleep in the forest?"

21 Another of His disciples said unto Him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father! 22 But Jesus said, unto him, Follow Me; and let the dead bury their dead. (Matthew 8:21 and 22)

I think we get the point that Yeshua was making, here; but His commandment to "let the dead bury their dead" requires some thought! For He seems to have divided Yahuah Hayah's children into two groups: 1 Those who are alive and walking around and 2 those who are dead and still walking around. He said, through Moses:

I have set, before you, life and death, blessing and cursing! Therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live! (Deuteronomy 30:19)

46 Set your hearts unto all the words that I testify among you this day, which ye shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this law! 47 For it is not a vain thing for you; because it is your life! (Deuteronomy 32:46 and 47)

Yeshua said: "If thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments!" (Matthew 19:17) To enter into life, one must have been in death! And that involves the spiritual death about which Yeshua was concerned in behalf of His Father's beloved children!

In the light of these commandments, I believe you will agree that the "life" Yeshua saw missing in the "dead' who "bury their dead" (Matthew 8:22) is that which keeping Yahuah Hayah's Torah or law provides for His beloved children. So there is physical "life", which is required to bury the dead; and there is spiritual life, which is having Yahuah's "righteousness" (Deuteronomy 6:25), which permits one to "enter into the kingdom of Heaven"! (Matthew 5:20) which is all about the wonderful life that Yahuah intends for His children in contrast to Hell, which is all about spiritual death or an existence without His light, love and comfort, which He gives to those who "wilt not hearken unto the voice of Yahuah, thy God, to observe to do all His commandments"! (Deuteronomy 28:15) Matthew continued:

23 When Yeshua was entered into a ship, His disciples followed Him. 24 And, behold, there arose a great tempest, in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves. But He was asleep! 25 And His disciples came to Him and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish! 26 He saith, unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. 27 But the men marveled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him! (Matthew 8:23 to 27)

I would marvel, too! Wouldn't you?

Here is a glimpse of the awesome authority and power that Yeshua has over the creation that He spoke into existence in the first place, a glimpse provided by Yahuah Hayah's Holy Bible, my friends. Aren't you glad that we are devoted to studying that bible each week? I am thrilled by the opportunity afforded me, by Yahuah Hayah's working through D.J. and her helpful husband, to thrill you with such accounts and offer you Yahuah's life while I am at it. What a Creator and King we love, worship and serve! Matthew continued:

28 when he was come to the other side, into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceedingly fierce, so that no man might pass by that way. 29 And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, Thou Son of God? Art thou come hither to torment us before the time? 30 There was, a good way off from them, an herd of many swine feeding. 31 So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine! 32 And he said, unto them, Go! And, when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place, into the sea, and perished in the waters! 33 They who kept them fled and went their ways, into the city, and told what was befallen to the possessed of the devils! 34 And, behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus: and, when they saw Him, they besought Him that He would depart out of their coasts! (Matthew 8:28 to 34)

Is that not like us, Yahuah Hayah's dumb children! Here Yeshua had powerfully shown His authority over the devils, which I am sure were a plague to some in that city; and all they could think of was the loss to them of the swine! And would He please leave and never come back!

I am sure Yeshua did not have to order the devils into the swine; but, as well as delivering "the two … coming out of the tombs", I can see Him also bringing judgment down on the owners of the swine; because, according to Yahuah Hayah's Torah or law, swine are "unclean" animals (Leviticus 11:7) and are not to be eaten! And, interestingly, our present-day understanding is that they are carriers of the disease-causing trichinosis, which is why people are told to cook pork well, although Yahuah Hayah forbids His children to eat them at all!

While we are on the subject of unclean meats, Yahuah Hayah also forbids eating fish that do not have "fins and scales in the waters, in the seas and in the rivers"! (Leviticus 11:9) And our present-day understanding is that such fish are scavengers of droppings on the bottom of the water they inhabit and are therefore very unclean and even toxic to those who eat them. So, again, we find Yahuah Hayah simply looking after the well being of His beloved children! Getting back to Matthew's wonderful account of Yeshua's activities, we read that Yeshua

entered into a ship, passed over and came into His own city! 2 And, behold, they brought, to Him, a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed! And, seeing their faith, Jesus said, unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee. 3 And, behold, certain of the scribes said, within themselves, This man blasphemeth. 4 And, knowing their thoughts, Jesus said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts? 5 For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk? 6 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on Earth to forgive sins, then saith He to the sick of the palsy, Arise, take up thy bed and go unto thine house! 7 And he arose and departed to his house. 8 But, when the multitudes saw it, they marveled and glorified God, Who had given such power unto men. (Matthew 9:1 to 8)

Matthew then tells us of one more disciple Yeshua gathered to Himself - specifically, himself!!

As Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the receipt of custom! And He saith, unto him, Follow Me! And he arose and followed Him. (Matthew 9:9)

From His closeness to Yahuah the Father, Yeshua knew Matthew's heart! And He knew that Matthew would be another good disciple for Him; and Matthew immediately honored Yeshua's call upon him. How good it is for us, when we do likewise!

Do you feel a warm tug on your heart? Follow it. Nothing is more rewarding than to be in Yahuah the Father's will for us. Matthew then wrote:

10 As Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with Him and His disciples! 11 And, when the Pharisees saw it, they said, unto His disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners? 12 But, when Jesus heard that, He said, unto them, They who be whole need not a physician but they who are sick! 13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy and not sacrifice! For I am not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance! (Matthew 9:10 to 13)

Yeshua made reference to His words through His prophet: "I desired mercy and not sacrifice and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings!" (Hosea 6:6)

Yahuah Hayah worked, through Yeshua, to help His beloved children see the point of His commanding sacrifices, which was always more important than the observances themselves! Bringing a "sin offering" (Numbers 15:27) with which a priest could "make an atonement" (Verse 28) for the sinner resulted in his being "forgiven" (Verse 28) or restored to the fellowship with His Creator and King that he had forfeited by sinning, which is "“transgression of the law"! (1st John 3:4:)

The act of bringing the "sin offering" required that the sinner admit that had sinned or broken some commandment of Yahuah Hayah's Torah! And it also showed that the sinner had not meant to do that and was sorry that he had! That is why Yahuah's language through Moses is so careful!

27 If any soul sin through ignorance, then he shall bring a she goat of the first year for a sin offering. 28 And the priest shall make an atonement for the soul who sinneth ignorantly, when he sinneth by ignorance before Yahuah, to make an atonement for him; and it shall be forgiven him. (Numbers 15:27 and 28)

In this short passage three times Yahuah makes clear through Yeshua through Moses that His forgiveness is for the one who has sinned "ignorantly" or without realizing it. Sinning deliberately, when one knows he is violating Yahuah, is quite another matter! He wrote, through Yeshua, through Moses:

30 The soul who doeth ought presumptuously, whether he be born in the land or a stranger, the same reproacheth Yahuah; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people! 31 Because he hath despised the word of Yahuah and hath broken His commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be upon him. (Numbers 15:30 and 31)

King David sensed this truth about Yahuah Hayah and wrote: "16 Thou desirest not sacrifice, else would I give it: Thou delightest not in burnt offering. 17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit! A broken and a contrite heart, O God, Thou wilt not despise!" (Psalm 51:16 and 17)

Watching the "sin offering", usually an innocent lamb, bled to death because of one's sin had an effect on the "conscience" of the sinner! (Hebrews 9:9) The reaction was usually to be sorry that one's sin had caused such violence to come against an innocent animal! It was not important that the innocent animal be violated; rather, it was important that the sinner associate violence to innocence with having sinned; because sin always violates Yahuah Hayah, Who indeed is innocent and not worthy of the violence that His children's sinning does thrust upon Him.

That was the truth that Yahuah Hayah's "atonement" (Numbers 15:28) impressed upon a sinner! But He wrote, through His author, of such sacrifices, that they were "a figure for the time then present ... that could not make him who did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience". (Hebrews 9:9)

But, when Yahuah Hayah had sent Yeshua to Earth, to lay down His life as "the lamb of God" (John 1:29), Yahuah then wrote, through His author: "How much more shall the blood of Christ ... purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?" (Hebrews 9:14)

If you like my kind of study, may I recommend our website, “enterhiscovenant.com”, which is full of stored sermons offering exactly the same kind of guidance through Yahuah Hayah's word on every topic imaginable! And the visitor is not obliged to sit and listen to my choice of topic; rather, through our topical index, “Convocations by Topics”, he can go to any sermon that interests him and see what Yahuah has to say about the topic of the visitor's choice!

When people recite things to me, a lot of it goes by me without my being able to hear it or process it; so I like the written report, which sits before me so long as I need it before going on to the next idea, especially when I would like to take notes from it; and our website does exactly that, for your careful consideration!

You might wonder how this ministry manages to function in a world where a price is demanded for virtually everything that one needs! Faith Harvest Israel is a faith-based ministry, which relies entirely on the tithes and offerings of people like you, who appreciate what we are doing and make themselves a part of the ministry through their tithes and offerings! If you are one of those people whom Yahuah Hayah has led to be a part of this ministry, address your check or money order to "enterhiscovenant.com" and send it to 18627 Brookhurst St. 557, Fountain Valley, California 92708; and Yahuah will bless you for it.

Let us pray: Our heavenly Father, I thank you for this enlightening time you have given all of us together, today. I pray that it has been helpful to all who have watched this wonderful live video; and I pray that you bless all of them richly throughout the coming week, for the hunger in their hearts that prompted them to hear Your words this morning! I know that each and every one of these children of Yours is precious to you and that you love him or her passionately! So it has been a great privilege to help you reach out to them and give them Your spirit and life through the words that we have spoken! Thank you for that fulfillment; all the praise and the glory for it be to you; blessed by your precious and holy name! Amen!

Amen! Alleluia!
