Thoughts for the Sabbath of

Keys of the Kingdom

(Please note: This sermon can be directly accessed on the Internet at http://www.enterHiscovenant.com/Sabbath20131026.htm)

Hi! I'm Pastor Floyd! I wish I had a photograph of you, too, so that I could visualize to whom I am talking! But Yahuah Hayah, the Self-Existent, Eternal I AM, the Creator of the universe and King over it, knows who you are; and that's all that matters!

At this point in your participation in the service, I recommend that you go to Sabbath Ritual and participate in the prayer in which we like to engage each week, as I do each morning, to avail ourselves of Yahuah Hayah's "Power of Agreement" (Matthew 18:19) for the basic things that all of us must have each day of our lives! Although repetitious and time-consuming, doing that will bless you, the fellowship and all of His children in the universe! It is what some people call "getting prayed up"!

As for the thoughts that Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) gave me for this Sabbath, He said, through Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ), to His disciple Peter: "I will give, unto thee, the keys of the kingdom of Heaven! Whatsoever thou shalt bind on Earth shall be bound in Heaven! And whatsoever thou shalt loose on Earth shall be loosed in Heaven!" (Matthew 16:19)

The only sense that this verse makes to me is that presumably Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) was promising to give to Peter the power of deciding who will enter "the kingdom of Heaven" and who not! And, to me, that is scary! Peter is a man and subject to human error! So why would I want any neighbor of mine to have "the keys of the kingdom of Heaven" (Matthew 16:19), if that meant that he could keep me "bound in Heaven" as well as "on Earth"? (Verse 19)

Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ) said, to His beloved apostle John: "I am He Who liveth and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, amen, and have the keys of Hell and of Death!" (Revelation 1:18) I can live, with that; because He also said:

15I judge no man. 16Yet, if I judge, My judgment is true! For I am not alone but I and the Father Who sent Me. (John 8:15 and 16)

While He was a man, Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ) did not presume to judge His fellow men! But, when He returned in His glory to be with the Father, His apostle Peter said, of Him: "He ... was ordained, of God, to be the Judge of the quick and the dead!" (Acts 10:42) And "The judgments of Yahuah are true and righteous altogether!" (Psalm 19:9) Yeshua said:

28Fear not them who kill the body but are not able to kill the soul! Rather, fear Him Who is able to destroy both soul and body in Hell! 29Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? And one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father! 30The very hairs of your head are all numbered! 31Fear ye not, therefore; ye are of more value than many sparrows. (Matthew 10:28 to 31)

Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) said, through Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ):

31If ye continue in My word, then are ye My disciples indeed! 32And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free! (John 8:31 and 32)

In that teaching, the choice to remain free lies with each person! Anyone can continue in Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s word through Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ), be His disciple and so be free! The freedom does not rest in the hands of any other person presumably having "the keys of the kingdom of Heaven" (Matthew 16:19)" - the ability to bind another person on Earth, who would then "be bound in Heaven"! (Verse 19)

In fact, I cannot imagine any godly person who presumably had been given "the keys of the kingdom of Heaven" (Matthew 16:19)" who would want to bind anyone, on Earth or in Heaven; Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) said, through Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ):

44 Love your enemies! Bless them who curse you; do good to them who hate you; and pray for them who despitefully use you and persecute you, 45 that ye may be the children of your Father Who is in Heaven! For He maketh His sun to rise, on the good and on the evil, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust! (Matthew 5:44 and 45)

The power "to destroy both soul and body in Hell" (Matthew 10:28) is too frightful to contemplate, let alone be in the hands of a human being! But Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) said, through Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ), through Moses:

I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing! Therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live! (Deuteronomy 30:19)

The right to choose and the responsibility for exercising that right is fundamental to Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s covenant relationship with His children! And the power to judge how they have exercised their right to choose ever remains with Him! He said, through Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ), to His children:

Judge not, that ye be not judged! (Matthew 7:1)

In a very different sense, Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) gave, through Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ), to all of us "the keys of the kingdom of Heaven" (Matthew 16:19)", in saying: "Except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of Heaven!" (Matthew 5:20)

So a "righteousness" (Matthew 5:20) exceeding that "of the scribes and Pharisees" (Verse 20) is, certainly, one of "the keys of the kingdom of Heaven" (Matthew 16:19), if not the only key! So what was "the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees"? (Matthew 5:20) Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) said, through Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ):

2 The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat: 3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not! (Matthew 23:2 and 3)

Woe, unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! (Matthew 23:13)

So "the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees" (Matthew 5:20) was compromised by their being "hypocrites", their saying what Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) said, through Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ) through Moses but not doing it; and Yahuah commanded, through Yeshua, that His disciples do what He said through Moses (Matthew 23:3); so keeping the commandments of His Torah, law and everlasting covenant would be one of "the keys of the kingdom of Heaven" (Matthew 16:19), if not the only one; He said, through Yeshua:

If thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments! (Matthew 19:17)

Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) was answering, through Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ), the question: "What good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?" (Matthew 19:17)

So one's entering into eternal life is his reward for keeping the commandments of Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s Torah, law and everlasting covenant, which is the same as entering into His kingdom!

Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ) said, "If I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you." (Luke 11:20) So Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s kingdom is where the power of His Kodesh Ruach is evident! For He works for the benefit of those who are in His kingdom!

"The kingdom of Heaven" (Matthew 5:20) is, obviously, in Heaven! But, if Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s kingdom "is come upon" (Luke 11:20) the person for whom He does a miracle on Earth, exactly where is that kingdom? He said, through Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ): "Behold, the kingdom of God is within you." (Luke 17:21) Yeshua also said:

9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name! 10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on Earth, as it is in Heaven! (Matthew 6:9 and 10)

Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s kingdom is always "in Heaven"! But we are to pray that it also be "on Earth"! And we have found that it also is "within you". (Luke 17:21)

When I was a young man, I visited Mexico, for a few months, to become better acquainted with the Mexican people! But, when I got sick, I boarded a plane and went home! I may have been in Mexico; but my citizenship was in the United States; and I took advantage of that fact, when things became difficult for me.

We may be on Earth; but, if our allegiance is to Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM), we are citizens of His kingdom! And, as such, we have the benefits that He has promised for "the righteous" (Matthew 9:13), which brings us back to the "righteousness" (Matthew 5:20) that is the key to that kingdom; Yahuah said, through Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ), through Moses:

It shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the Lord our God! (Deuteronomy 6:25)

That is "the righteousness that is in the law" (Philippians 3:6), which Paul said is no better than "dung" (Verse 8), insisting that "ye could not be justified by the law of Moses". (Acts 13:39) But Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) had a better regard for it than that; and He said, through Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ), of Moses:

If ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe My words? (John 5:47)

If thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments! (Matthew 19:17)

I pray that this information I have given you is true in Yahuah Hayah's sight, that it can be stored in your spirit for great and beneficial use to you as the days go by and that we might hear from you now and then as you find it working its wonders in your life!

Father, by my "faith in God" (Mark 11:22), I "speak" (Mark 11:23), to Your children, and command that they be given the knowledge and understanding of Your truth, which is the key to Your kingdom!

I rejoice (John 15:11) that You are faithful to fulfill Your children's powerful use of their "dominion ... over every living thing that moveth upon the Earth"! (Genesis 1:28) I know you answered this prayer, in ha Kodesh Ruach, Your Holy Spirit, the moment I said it; so I "believe" I "receive" (Mark 11:24), even now, a family of brothers and sisters who are rejoicing over the magnificent blessing of having and using the key to your kingdom!

I pray that Yahuah Hayah shall bless you mightily, throughout the coming week, and that you will realize in your heart how important you are to the ministry that He has given to Faith Harvest Israel to see that His truth is learned, believed and carried out by all His children throughout the world, so many of whom are in such desperate need of it.

Amen! Alleluia!
