Our Covenant God

Hi! I'm Pastor Floyd! I wish I had a photograph of you, too, so that I could visualize to whom I am talking! But Yahuah Hayah, the Self-Existent, Eternal I AM, the Creator of the universe and King over it, knows who you are; and that's all that matters!

At this point in your participation in the service, I recommend that you go to Sabbath Ritual and participate in the prayer in which we like to engage each week, as I do each morning, to avail ourselves of Yahuah Hayah's "Power of Agreement" (Matthew 18:19) for the basic things that all of us must have each day of our lives! Although repetitious and time-consuming, doing that will bless you, the fellowship and all of His children in the universe! It is what some people call "getting prayed up"!

As for the thoughts that Yahuah gave me for this Sabbath, the God I love, worship and serve is "Yahuah Hayah"! Those names He gave to Moses! The first one (Exodus 6:3) means "self-existent or eternal"! (Strong: Hebrew: 3068); and the second one (Exodus 3:14) means "I AM" (Strong: Hebrew: 1961) He is the Creator of all and King over it! He wrote, through His faithful apostle:

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In Him was life; and the life was the light of men! (John 1:1 to 4)

And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us; and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth! (John 1:14)

"The Word ... made flesh" (John 1:14) was "Yeshua" (Exodus 17:9), which name has been translated "Jesus"! (Matthew 1:21; Strong: Greek: 2424)) And it means "Yahuah-saved"! (Strong: Hebrew 3091)

Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ) called Himself "the Son of God"! (John 3:18) But He said, "He who hath seen Me hath seen the Father" (John 14:9), Who wrote, through His author:

1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 hath in these last days spoken, unto us, by His Son, Whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by Whom also He made the worlds, 3 Who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high!" (Hebrews 1:1 to 3)

All of the above reflects "the brightness of His [Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s] glory" (Hebrews 1:3), which makes wonderful the fact that this Creator of all and King over it not only created us, His children, but reached out to us, that we might be His "friends"! (John 15:15) And He did so, by seeking an agreement with us, which He called His "covenant"! He said, to Abraham:

1 I am the Almighty God! Walk before Me, and be thou perfect! 2 I will make My covenant, between Me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly! (Genesis 17:1 and 2)

It might seem strange that Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) would command a son of His to be "perfect" (Genesis 17:1), knowing well that, as humans, His children suffer imperfections of all kinds! But, when one understandes the working of His "dominion" (Genesis 1:28), that command becomes a declaration of faith that it shall be as it was spoken! For, if one shall "speak" (Mark 11:23) to something "and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe that those things that he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith!" (Verse 23)

To prepare Abraham for the day of Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s covenant-making with him, Yahuah had said, to him, earlier:

7 I am Yahuah, Who brought thee out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give thee this land to inherit it. 8 And he [Abraham] said, Yahuah God, whereby shall I know that I shall inherit it? (Genesis 15:7 and 8)

For Abraham to ask Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) how he could know that he would inherit the land that Yahuah had said only a moment before Abraham would inherit implied, so far as Abraham could see, that Yahuah's word could not be trusted, which was like a slap to the face of the Creator of all by a sadly doubting son! So

9 He [Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)] said, unto him, Take Me an heifer of three years old and a she goat of three years old and a ram of three years old and a turtledove and a young pigeon! 10 And he took, unto him, all these and divided them, in the midst, and laid each piece one against another! (Genesis 15:9 and 10)

The teller of the story does not say it; but, apparently, Abraham knew what Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) had in mind and dutifully killed the animals, cutting them in half and laying the pieces apart from each other.

Then "when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram" (Genesis 15:12); and Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) prophesied, to him, concerning experiences that awaited his children! But then "when ... it was dark, behold a smoking furnace and a burning lamp, which passed between those pieces"! (Verse 17)

For those of us who have become familiar with this tradition, this, obviously, was a performance of what was known as "cutting blood covenant", in which the parties to the covenant would pass between the pieces of a violated animal, saying, "If I break this covenant, let be done to me what was done to this animal!" But, in this instance, Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) was only solemnizing or showing the seriousness of His promise to Abraham; so only He, as the "burning lamp" (Genesis 15:17) passed between the pieces! It was not a "covenant" or an agreement with Abraham; because he was not included in it.

"Covenant" is a translation of a word that means "(in the sense of cutting) a compact (because made by passing between pieces of flesh)"! (Strong: Hebrew: 1285) My online Merriam-Webster dictionary defines "compact" as "an agreement or covenant between two or more parties"!

That solemn making of "covenant" was typical of Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s approach to all His children; He wrote, through His Recorder, of the days following His freeing of the children of Israel from their bondage in Egypt, when they had reached Mount Sinai:

3 Moses went up, unto God; and the Lord called, unto him, out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say, to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel; 4 Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians and how I bare you on eagles' wings and brought you unto Myself! 5 Now, therefore, if ye will obey My voice indeed and keep My covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto Me above all people! For all the Earth is Mine! 6 And ye shall be, unto Me, a kingdom of priests and an holy nation! (Exodus 19:3 to 6)

At that point, Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) was preparing His children, by asking them to "obey My voice ... and keep My covenant"! (Exodus 19:5) They did not yet know what His voice was about to say or what His covenant would require of them or promise for them; then

7 Moses ... called for the elders of the people and laid, before their faces, all these words that Yahuah commanded him. 8 And all the people answered together and said, All that Yahuah hath spoken we will do! And Moses returned the words of the people, unto Yahuah! 9 And Yahuah said, unto Moses, Lo, I come, unto thee, in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with thee and believe thee for ever! (Exodus 19:7 to 9)

"For ever" is a long time! And to remember that declared longevity for what Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) told Moses on Mount Sinai, which He confirmed through His psalmist (Psalm 105:8 to 10), saves one from the ocean of confusion about what covenant presumably supercedes another, which notion was brought into the world by the false prophet Paul (Matthew 24:24), who got his false "gospel" (Galatians 1:11) from a false "Jesus Christ"! (Verse 12) (Matthew 24:24) in "Arabia"! (Galatians 1:17)

Then, when Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) had given Moses His law on the mountain,

Moses came and told the people all the words of Yahuah and all the judgments! And all the people answered, with one voice, and said, All the words that Yahuah hath said will we do! (Exodus 24:3)

At that point the agreement was made, between Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) and His children; but it had yet to be solemnized by a demonstration of the life-and-death seriousness of it by "cutting blood covenant", as the following record will show:

4 Moses wrote all the words of Yahuah and rose up, early in the morning, and built an altar, under the hill, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel! 5 And he sent young men of the children of Israel, who offered burnt offerings and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen unto Yahuah. 6 And Moses took half of the blood and put it in basons; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar! 7 And he took the book of the covenant and read in the audience of the people! And they said, All that Yahuah hath said will we do and be obedient! 8 And Moses took the blood and sprinkled it, on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant that Yahuah hath made with you concerning all these words! (Exodus 24:4 to 8)

Earlier, "Yahuah said, unto Moses, Come up, to Me, into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone and a law and commandments that I have written, that thou mayest teach them." (Exodus 24:12)

So it was His "law" that Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) gave to Moses on Mount Sinai; but Moses spoke of "the blood of the covenant that Yahuah hath made with you concerning all these words" (Verse 8); so Yahuah gave His law, to Moses, but "cutting blood covenant" with His children solemnized it or demonstrated, to them, that it would be to them a life-and-death matter! In that law He said, through Moses:

I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing! Therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live! (Deuteronomy 30:19)

Perhaps now we can understand what Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) showed about the close relationship between His "law" and His "covenant"! He wrote, through His psalmist:

8 He hath remembered His covenant for ever, the word that He commanded to a thousand generations, 9 which covenant He made with Abraham and His oath unto Isaac 10 and confirmed the same unto Jacob, for a law, and to Israel, for an everlasting covenant!(Psalm 105:8 to 10)

In that amazing statement concerning Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s "everlasting covenant" (Psalm 105:10), the words "law" and "covenant" are, virtually, interchangeable, except that His law is His expression of Himself and how He functions "for our good always" (Deuteronomy 6:24), while His covenant is the agreement He seeks to obtain between Himself and all His children, where they respond, by saying "All that the Lord hath said will we do and be obedient!" (Exodus 24:7)

The "life" (Deuteronomy 30:19) of Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s law is in the "righteousness" (Deuteronomy 6:25) that He offers to His children if they will "observe" (Vers e 25), "guard" (Strong: Hebrew: 8104) or put a value on "all these commandments before Yahuah, our God"! (Deuteronomy 6:25) And He explained later, through Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ), that only by having a true "righteousness" (Matthew 5:20) can one "enter into the kingdom of Heaven"! (Verse 20)

Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ) compared that "righteousness" (Matthew 5:20) with that "of the scribes and Pharisees"! (Verse 20) And He warned His children, saying that anyone having their kind of "righteousness", where they "say and do not" (Matthew 23:3) what Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) taught from "Moses' seat" (Verse 2) "shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven"! (Matthew 5:20)

When Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) sent Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ) into the world to establish His "New Covenant with the house of Israel" (Jeremiah 31:31), He made clear that the "life" (Deuteronomy 30:19) of His law was an "eternal life" (Matthew 19:17); He said, through Yeshua:

If thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments! (Matthew 19:17)

In the mind of a child of Israel, "the commandments" (Matthew 19:17) could mean only those of Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s Torah, law and "everlasting covenant" (Psalm 105:10) "with the house of Israel"! (Jeremiah 31:31) So those commandments are what one must keep, if he wants to "enter into" (Matthew 19:17) "eternal life"! (Verse 16)

Now let us go to the "New Testament" of Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s Holy Bible, in which we find His "New Covenant with the house of Israel"! (Jeremiah 31:31) and the two "gospels" or teachings comprising the books that describe it, one by Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) through Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ), which did what Yahuah said through His prophet that He would do, which was to "magnify the law and make it honorable" (Isaiah 42:21) and the other by Paul, which did exactly the opposite, his alleging that "ye could not be justified [or made righteous] by the law of Moses" (Acts 13:39) and offering another "righteousness without the law". (Romans 3:21)

To prepare His children for exactly that kind of confusion, Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) warned, through Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ), that "there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, who shall show great signs and wonders, insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect"! (Matthew 24:24) But Yahuah's "elect" ignored that clear warning and even made that false prophet's words a part of Yahuah's Holy Bible, calling it "the Word of God"!

I leave for you to decide whether you can believe the words of Yahuah Hayah, the "self-existent or eternal" Creator of all and King over it, through Moses or Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ), or those of a self-appointed "apostle" (Romans 1:1) who got his "gospel" (Galatians 1:11) from a false "Jesus Christ" (Verse 12), whom he found in "Arabia" (Verse 17) - the land of "Ishmael" (Genesis 17:20) with whom Yahuah's covenant would not be! (Verse 21)

Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ) said, of Moses: "If ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe My words?" (John 5:47) And to believe "in Him" (John 3:16) is how one "should not perish but have everlasting life"! (Verse 16)

The night He would be betrayed and crucified the next day, Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ) "27 took the cup, gave thanks and gave it, to them, saying, All of ye drink of it; 28 For this is My blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins!" (Matthew 26:27 and 28)

In relation to our understanding of "covenant" and what it means, Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ) could well have said, "This is My blood of the New Covenant with the house of Israel" (Jeremiah 31:31), which is shed to solemnize again My "law" (Exodus 24:12; Jeremiah 31:33) , in which I give for many for the remission of sins your "righteousness"! (Deuteronomy 6:25)

Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) wrote, through His author: "Without shedding of blood is no remission!" (Hebrews 9:22) In other words, We can hear Yahuah say: "Unless I solemnize My law by the shedding of blood, which is to show its relating to "life and death" (Deuteronomy 30:19), My children will not take it seriously and "repent" (Matthew 4:17), so that I can forgive them, "make him who did the service perfect as pertaining to the conscience" (Hebrews 9:9) and "purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God"! (Verse 14)

All the sacrifices that Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) commanded in His law showed violence to innocent animals, which reflected the violence that sin does to Him, Whose Spirit is in the victim of sin; and He structured His law to keep that vital truth ever before His children!

Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ) said, "This [wine of the Passover] is My blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins"! (Matthew 26:28) It was not "the blood of bulls and of goats" (Hebrews 9:13) that would this time sanctify or solemnize Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s "law" (Jeremiah 31:33) or "write it in their hearts" (Verse 33), thus making His "New Covenant with the house of Israel" (Jeremiah 31:31), to bring them into a renewed commitment to "hearken diligently unto the voice of Yahuah, thy God, to observe to do all His commandments" (Deuteronomy 28:1) so that "all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee" (Verse 2), which include "eternal life"! (Matthew 19:16)

This time it was the blood of the innocent "Son of God" (John 3:18) that would be shed, as Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s "Lamb of God" (John 1:29) to take "away the sin of the world"! (Verse 29)

Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) would not take "away the sin of the world" (John 1:29), by paying a "redemption" (Romans 3:24) or "ransom in full" (Strong: Greek: 629) for the lives of all His children, whom according to Paul He had not forgiven, even though they had repented and kept the commandments of His law, which makes a lie of Yahuah's assurance in His law that He is a God "showing mercy unto thousands of them who love Me and keep My commandments"! (Exodus 20:6)

Instead, Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ) would "call ... sinners to repentance" (Matthew 9:13) by solemnizing Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s Torah, law and "everlasting covenant" (Psalm 105:10) "with the house of Israel" (Jeremiah 31:31) with His own blood, thus fulfilling (Matthew 5:17) in His New Covenant Yahuah's "atonement" (Numbers 15:28), which was through the sacrifices of His law His constant reminder of His law's solemnity throughout His Old Covenant, the additional seriousness implied by His even giving up to die "His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life"! (John 3:16)

If believing Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ) would reward the believer with "everlasting life" (John 3:16) what did that Son say?

The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life! (John 6:63)

If thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments! (Matthew 19:17)

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For ye pay tithe of mint, anise and cummin and have omitted the weightier matters of the law - judgment, mercy, and faith! These ought ye to have done and not to leave the other undone! (Matthew 23:23)

19 Go ... and teach all nations ... 20 to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world! (Matthew 28:19 and 20)

I pray that this information I have given you is true in Yahuah Hayah's sight, that it can be stored in your spirit for great and beneficial use to you as the days go by and that we might hear from you now and then as you find it working its wonders in your life!

Father, by my "faith in God" (Mark 11:22), I "speak" (Mark 11:23), to Your children, and command that they be given the knowledge and understanding of Your law and covenant by which to know the difference between them and the purposes You had for giving them.

I rejoice (John 15:11) that You are faithful to fulfill Your children's powerful use of their "dominion ... over every living thing that moveth upon the Earth"! (Genesis 1:28) I know you answered this prayer, in ha Kodesh Ruach, Your Holy Spirit, the moment I said it; so I "believe" I "receive" (Mark 11:24), even now, a family of brothers and sisters who are rejoicing over their understanding of the one everlasting law and covenant You gave your children by which to appreciate it and its relevance to their life or death!

I pray that Yahuah Hayah shall bless you mightily, throughout the coming week, and that you will realize in your heart how important you are to the ministry that He has given to Faith Harvest Israel to see that His truth is learned, believed and carried out by all His children throughout the world, so many of whom are in such desperate need of it!

Amen! Alleluia!
