Thoughts for the Sabbath of
2014 November 1

The Key

(Please note: This sermon can be directly accessed on the Internet at http://www.enterHiscovenant.com/Sabbath20141101.htm)

Hi! I'm Pastor Floyd! I wish I had a photograph of you, too, so that I could visualize to whom I am talking! But Yahuah Hayah, the Self-Existent, Eternal I AM, the Creator of the universe and King over it, knows who you are; and that's all that matters!

At this point in your participation in the service, I recommend that you go to Sabbath Ritual and participate in the prayer in which we like to engage each week, as I do each morning, to avail ourselves of Yahuah Hayah's "Power of Agreement" (Matthew 18:19) for the basic things that all of us must have each day of our lives! Although repetitious and time-consuming, doing that will bless you, the fellowship and all of His children in the universe! It is what some people call "getting prayed up"!

As for the thoughts that Yahuah Hayah gave me for this Sabbath, our son Pete's reentering this ministry as Faith Harvest Israel's Evangelist of Yahuah Hayah in California was prompted by his realization that, although most people hear Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s voice in their spirits and therefore tend to reflect His goodness in their actions, they lack "the key" that His Holy Bible provides to their being fulfilled by Him as He has intended! Since then we have discussed of what that key consists, from which discussion the following insight has emerged:

In His Torah through Moses Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s fundamental offering of His "blessings" (Deuteronomy 28:2) is for those who "hearken diligently unto the voice of Yahuah, thy God, to observe to do all His commandments"! (Verse 1) His voice does indeed encourage one to "observe ... to do all His commandments"; but He usually focuses on the commandment that relates to whatever problem His child is currently facing!

The overview or understanding of Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s whole Torah is not usually involved, in one's daily receiving from His voice; yet its perfection and power to convert one's spirit (Psalm 19:7) lies in the total impact that one's knowledge of it has upon his spirit! Yahuah wrote, through His prophet:

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge! Because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to Me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children! (Hosea 4:6)

I desired mercy and not sacrifice and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings! (Hosea 6:6)

The "burnt offerings" Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) commanded through Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ) through Moses had their place and instructive usefulness! But one's having "mercy" on his neighbor and on Yahuah, Whose Spirit is in the neighbor and Who is not worthy of the abuse we heap upon Him in our sinning, is the point of the many rituals involving violence to innocent animals! So that is why getting the point of those sacrifices - that is, "the knowledge of God" - was what He desired in His children "more than burnt offerings"!

Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) said, through Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ), to Peter: "I will give, unto thee, the keys of the kingdom of Heaven! Whatsoever thou shalt bind on Earth shall be bound in Heaven! And whatsoever thou shalt loose on Earth shall be loosed in Heaven!" (Matthew 16:19)

The binding or loosing of which Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ) spoke could not relate to other than the forgiveness that is so critical to one's entering Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s "kingdom of Heaven"! (Matthew 5:20) And, in a saying in which Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ) spoke of that kingdom, He gave "righteousness" (Verse 20) as Yahuah's requirement for one's entering into it; He said:

Except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of Heaven! (Matthew 5:20)

Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ) made clear that Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s problem with "the scribes and Pharisees" was that, although they "sit in Moses' seat" (Matthew 23:2), as teachers of Yahuah's Torah or law through Moses, they "say and do not"! (Verse 3) Therefore, being "hypocrites" (Verse 13), they were worthy of "the greater damnation"! (Verse 14)

Still, Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) said, through Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ), in that passage: "All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do!" "Observe" means to "guard" (Strong: Greek: 5083) or put a value on; so putting value on obeying the commandments of Yahuah's Torah Yeshua through Moses appears to be one of the keys we are discussing!

Observing to do the commandments of Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s Torah or law as one of His "keys of the kingdom of Heaven" (Matthew 16:19) makes sense, when one considers that "the First and Great Commandment" (Matthew 22:38) is to love Him, while loving one's neighbor "is like unto it" (Verse 39), on which "two commandments hang all the law and the prophets"! (Verse 40)

The complete commandment to love one's neighbor includes "as thyself" (Leviticus 19:18) as the standard! And, since we like to be forgiven for our mistakes, forgiving others is part of loving them! Then, when Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ) was hanging on the cross, He prayed, "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do!" (Luke 23:34) That put a profound meaning on His having said, "A new commandment I give, unto you, that ye love one another, as I have loved you!" (John 13:34)

Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ) loved those who nailed Him to His cross enough to ask His Father to forgive them; so loving one's "enemies" (Matthew 5:44) enough to forgive them becomes an important part of the understanding and obedience that Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) desires of us as one of His "keys of the kingdom of Heaven" (Matthew 16:19), which again relates to whom one looses or binds in the sense of forgiving or failing to forgive.

This truth is clarified where Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ) gives Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s sample prayer to His disciples, in His saying: "14 If ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you! 15 But, if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." (Matthew 6:14 and 15)

There, again, is the loosing and binding that relates specifically to Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s "keys of the kingdom of Heaven"! (Matthew 16:19) One cannot escape this critical requirement, if he wants to "enter into the kingdom of Heaven"! (Matthew 5:20) And, with that mercy given to one's neighbor being so critical, it essentially equals the "righteousness" (Verse 20) that Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ) also said is Yahuah's requirement for that entering, which Yahuah said through Yeshua through Moses is ours when "we observe ["guard" (Strong: Hebrew: 8104] or put a value on] to do all these commandments before Yahuah, our God"! (Deuteronomy 6:25)

All these elements of Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s salvation are tied together, to where one cannot claim one without qualifying for the other! "Our righteousness" equals our forgiveness, which obtains Yahuah's forgiveness for us; and that is our key to entering into His kingdom!

So, although loosing and binding both relate to Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s "keys of the kingdom of Heaven" (Matthew 16:19), the loosing must be our choice, if we want entrance into that kingdom.

One cannot bind or fail to forgive a neighbor and still claim to love him; for a neighbor whom another has failed to forgive is "bound in Heaven"! (Matthew 16:19) Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) wrote, through His faithful apostle:

He who loveth not his brother, whom he hath seen, how can he love God, Whom he hath not seen? (1st John 4:20)

We can see that loving Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) and loving one's neighbor, also, are inseparably involved, along with the matter of forgiving one's neighbor; so "all the law and the prophets" (Matthew 22:40) hang also upon forgiving one's neighbor!

When one enters into the acknowledgement and practice of that amazing truth, all the "blessings" (Deuteronomy 28:2) Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) has for His obedient children become the reward of the obedient, who have His "righteousness" (Deuteronomy 6:25) and "kingdom" (Matthew 5:20), in contrast to His "reward of the wicked" (Psalm 91:8), which causes them to "fall" (Verse 7) by the "thousand" (Verse 7) and fail to "enter into the kingdom of Heaven"! (Matthew 5:20)

This truth of Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) helps us to understand why, when Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ) reappeared to His disciples as the resurrected Christ, He said: "As My Father hath sent Me, even so send I you!" He had prepared His disciples to receive that frightful charge, by telling them: "Whosoever doth not bear his cross and come after Me, cannot be My disciple!" (Luke 14:27)

"Rightly dividing the word of truth" (2nd Timothy 2:15), we can see that our forgiving one another in the love that has been commanded of us is not only "the keys of the kingdom of Heaven" (Matthew 16:19) but also the activating of Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s "shield and exceedingly great reward" (Genesis 15:1) in our behalf, with "peace, good will toward men" (Luke 2:14) thrown in, for good measure! So what more could one want?

The result of Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ)'s being tortured and killed by the unimaginable pain of crucifixion was shown by Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s asking through His author: "How much more shall the blood of Christ ... purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?" (Hebrews 9:14) So, I surmise that purging the consciences of one's neighbors is the purpose behind Yahuah's requiring His disciple to "bear his cross"! (Luke 14:27) For

it is not the will of your Father Who is in Heaven that one of these little ones should perish! (Matthew 18:14)

That is the amazing love for "the world" (John 3:16) for which Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) "gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life!" (Verse 16) Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ) said: "He who receiveth you receiveth Me! And he who receiveth Me receiveth Him Who sent Me." (Matthew 10:40)

So getting even the most difficult of Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s children to receive Him is the purpose of His disciples' loving their enemies even to suffering and dying at their hands! And, since this most challenging of all spiritual missions is so critical to the saving of as many of Yahuah's children as possible, one can be assured that He does in some measure glorify those who have answered His call to be sent as He sent Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ), even as He glorified Yeshua by returning Him to Earth as the resurrected Christ! Yahuah commanded, through Yeshua, His disciples:

19 Go ... and teach all nations ... 20 ... to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you (Matthew 28:19 and 20)

Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am! (John 13:13)

For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you! (John 13:15)

By submitting to the will of His enemies, Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ) purged "your conscience from dead works to serve the living God"! (Hebrews 9:14) He taught us, by example, and then said: "As My Father hath sent Me, even so send I you!" (John 20:21) The ultimate blessing He has in store for any child of His awaits the one who answers that sacred calling to teach Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s truth by one's own example!

I pray that this information I have given you is true in Yahuah Hayah's sight, that it can be stored in your spirit for great and beneficial use to you as the days go by and that we might hear from you now and then as you find it working its wonders in your life!

Father, by my "faith in God" (Mark 11:22), I "speak" (Mark 11:23), to Your children, and command that they be given the "keys of the kingdom" by the knowledge and understanding of the supreme benefits of answering Your call to be sent as you sent Yeshua ha Mawshiyach!

I rejoice (John 15:11) that You are faithful to fulfill Your children's powerful use of their "dominion ... over every living thing that moveth upon the Earth"! (Genesis 1:28) I know you answered this prayer, in ha Kodesh Ruach, Your Holy Spirit, the moment I said it; so I "believe" I "receive" (Mark 11:24), even now, a family of brothers and sisters who are rejoicing; because they know the joy and peace of serving You in the giving of themselves even to their enemies!

I pray that Yahuah Hayah shall bless you mightily, throughout the coming week, and that you will realize in your heart how important you are to the ministry that He has given to Faith Harvest Israel to see that His truth is learned, believed and carried out by all His children throughout the world, so many of whom are in such desperate need of it.
