Yeshua ha Mawshiyach's Blood

(Please note: This sermon can be directly accessed on the Internet at

Hi! I'm Pastor Floyd! I wish I had a photograph of you, too, so that I could visualize to whom I am talking! But Yahuah Hayah, the Self-Existent, Eternal I AM, Creator of the universe and King over it, knows who you are; and that's all that matters!

At this point in your participation in the service, I recommend that you go to Sabbath Ritual and participate in the prayer in which we like to engage each week, as I do each morning, to avail ourselves of Yahuah Hayah's "Power of Agreement" (Matthew 18:19) for the basic things that all of us must have each day of our lives! Although repetitious and time-consuming, doing that will bless you, the fellowship and all of His children in the universe! It is what some people call "getting prayed up"!

As for the thoughts that Yahuah Hayah gave me for this Sabbath, an account of Ron Wyatt, an archeologist of considerable reknown (he discovered the resting place of Noah's ark at the base of Mount Ararat), has come to my attention, in which he spoke of finding Yahuah Hayah's Arch of the Covenant, in "Jeremiah's Grotto", with some of Yeshua ha Mawshiyach's blood on it, which had run down a crack through the rock into which His cross had been placed. According to Brother Wyatt, the blood was analyzed in an Israeli laboratory, their having found in it only 13 "x" or female chromosomes and only one "y" or male choromosome, which confirms His having been born of a virgin, the angel Gabriel's having said, to Mary:

The Holy Ghost shall come, upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore that holy thing Who shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God! (Luke 1:35)

Brother Wyatt's report concerning Yeshua ha Mawshiyach's blood, be it true or not (at present we have no proof to substantiate it, while the Israeli government remains silent on the matter) is, of course, remarkable! But why He permitted it to be shed in obedience to His Father's "commandment" (John 10:17 and 18) is equally mysterious, in that few people understand why He did it, their understanding having been clouded by the church's acceptance of the apostle Paul's teaching on the subject, while ignoring that of Yeshua ha Mawshiyach Himself on the same subject!

The night He knew men were coming to kill Him and while He celebrated "the Passover" (Matthew 26:18) with His disciples, Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ) 27 "took the cup, gave thanks and gave it, to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;" 28 For this is My blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins!(Verses 27 and 28)

The first thing to be noticed in that statement is that Yeshua's blood "is ... of the New Testament"! And, within Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s Holy Bible, the blood of His covenant is that by which He solemnized it. The word "covenant" (Genesis 6:18) as it is found in His bible means "cutting; a compact ... made by passing between pieces of flesh"! (Strong: Hebrew: 1285)

"Passing between pieces of flesh" required cutting an animal, which shed its blood, and is the performance of a ritual practiced in ancient days by parties entering into a lifelong agreement, who would say, as they passed between the cut pieces, "If I violate this agreement, let be done unto me what was done to this animal!"

We find reference to this practice in Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s writing through His prophet, of a time when the children of Israel "cut the calf in twain and passed between the parts thereof" (Jeremiah 34:18) to enter into a covenant dealing with a specific problem He was having with them at that time!

Needless to say, that was a very "solemn" commitment! It was used to "solemnize" the agreement! And, when His children broke the covenant they had made with Him in that way, He was severe in his judgment of them, saying: "I will even give them into the hand of their enemies and into the hand of them that seek their life: and their dead bodies shall be for meat unto the fowls of heaven and to the beasts of the Earth!" (Jeremiah 34:20) So one can see how solemn this kind of covenant was in His eyes!

When Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) wanted to solemnize a covenant He was making with Abraham, He said, to Abraham: Take me an heifer of three years old, a she goat of three years old, a ram of three years old, a turtledove and a young pigeon! (Genesis 15:9)

Understanding what Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) expected of him in that situation, Abraham "took, unto him, all these and divided them, in the midst, and laid each piece, one against another!" (Genesis 15:9) But, when according to the covenant ritual they should have passed between the pieces, only Yahuah did so, as a lamp! For the record reads:

17 When the sun went down and it was dark, behold ... a burning lamp that passed between those pieces. 18 In the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates! (Genesis 15:17 and 18)

When Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) wanted to solemnize His covenant with Moses and the children of Israel, His record reads that Moses

5 sent young men of the children of Israel, who offered burnt offerings and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen, unto the Lord! 6 And Moses took half of the blood and put it in basons! And half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar! 7 Then he took the book of the covenant and read, in the audience of the people! And they said, All that the Lord hath said will we do and be obedient!. 8 Finally, Moses took the blood, sprinkled it on the people and said, Behold the blood of the covenant that the Lord hath made with you concerning all these words! (Exodus 24:5 to 8)

But Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) complained, through His prophet, of that covenant, that they "brake" (Jeremiah 31:32) it, "although I was an husband unto them, saith Yahuah"! (Verse 32)

Three references to Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s covenant with His children - one with Abraham (Genesis 15:9 to 18), one with Moses (Exodus 24:5 to 8) and, finally, one with Yeshua ha Mawshiyach (Matthew 26:28) causes people to suppose that He made several covenants, one with each of these key leaders among His children! But, from words He wrote through His psalmist, we learn that He ties all of them together, by referring to them as only one covenant:

8 He hath remembered His covenant for ever, the word that He commanded to a thousand generations! 9 Which covenant He made with Abraham and His oath unto Isaac 10 and confirmed the same, unto Jacob, for a law, and to Israel, for an everlasting covenant! (Psalm 105:8 to 10)

In that passage Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) refers to only one "everlasting covenant", which He "remembered ... for ever"! If a "generation" is, say, thirty years, one thousand of them would be thiry thousand years; and the bible's record covers only six!

This careful language helps us to understand that each of Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s so-called "covenants" are, really, only new opportunities to enter into the same, one and only and everlasting covenant that He makes with anyone, which applies equally to His "New Covenant with the house of Israel" (Jeremiah 31:31) and makes, of it, simply His last and final effort to secure His beloved children's agreement to keep the commandments of His Torah, solemnizing it, this time, with Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ)'s blood, in the hope of making it a truly solemn commitment; for He wrote, through His author:

26 If we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins 27 but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries! (Hebrews 10:26 and 27)

Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) wrote, through His faithful apostle, that "sin is the transgression of the law"! (1st John 3:4) So helping His children to "keep" (Matthew 19:17), "observe" (28:20) "guard" (Strong: Greek: 5083) or put a value on the commandments of His Torah is what His "everlasting covenant" (Psalm 105:10) is about! He said, through Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ): "I am ... come to call ... sinners to repentance"! (Matthew 9:13) He wrote, through His psalmist: "The law of Yahuah is perfect, converting the soul!" (Psalm 19:7)

One of the ways in which Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s Torah "converts" the soul or spirit of His child is its ritual sacrifices of animals, which are innocent! And, when one of them was bled to death, it pictured the violence that sin does to Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM), Who is innocent yet Who must suffer the violence that is done to Him by His Spirit's being in the neighbors that His children violate in their sinning against each other! He wrote, through His author, of the ritual sacrifices, that they were:

a figure for the time then present ... that could not make him who did the service perfect as pertaining to the conscience! (Hebrews 9:9)

And then, when Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ) had allowed wicked men to torture and kill Him, Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) wrote, thought His author:

How much more shall the blood of Christ ... purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? (Hebrews 9:14)

Perhaps the sacrificing of animals "could not make him who did the service perfect as pertaining to the conscience"; but making the participant "perfect as pertaining to the conscience" was the object of the sacrifices; and, in some instances, it apparently succeeded! For Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ) said: "I am not come to call the righteous ... to repentance" (Matthew 9:13), thus acknowledging that righteous people were in Israel while He walked and taught among them.

An apostle wrote of "a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon! The same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel! And the Holy Ghost was upon him." (Luke 2:25) Obviously, that man was righteous!

Then the same apostle wrote of "36 one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser! ... 37 She was a widow of about fourscore and four years, who departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day!" (Luke 2:36 and 37) Surely she was righteous in Yahuah Hayah's eyes!

Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ) said, to His discipless, "that many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things that ye see and have not seen them and to hear those things that ye hear and have not heard them". (Matthew 13:17) So, again, "the righteous" (Matthew 9:13) had surely come of observing the ritual sacrifices of Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s Torah!

But perhaps those sacrifices were not really the determining factor in the righteousness for which Yahuah Hayah looks, in His children. I am thinking of King David's observation, when he had sinned and needed God's forgiveness: He wrote:

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit! A broken and a contrite heart, O God, Thou wilt not despise! (Psalm 51:17)

Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) wrote, through His prophet: "I desired mercy and not sacrifice and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings!" (Hosea 6:6)

Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ)'s prayer confirms this bloodless forgiveness, where He taught His disciples to pray: "Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors!" (Matthew 6:12) He then emphasized that way of seeking the Father's forgiveness, by saying: "If ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you!" (Verse 14) Where is shed blood, in forgiving a neighbor?

Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s author wrote: "Almost all things are, by the law, purged with blood! And without shedding of blood is no remission!" (Hebrews 9:22)

But we read, immediately above, in Yeshua ha Mawshiyach's own words, that forgiving "men their trespasses" does indeed bring the Father's forgiveness; was Yeshua ha Mawshiyach misinforming His disciples?

To say that one thing will bring forgiveness and omit saying anything about something else that also is required would have been the sin of omission! Was Yeshua ha Mawshiyach guilty of that? Surely, He knew what Yahuah Hayah does require.

Then we have King David's confidence in Yahuah Hayah's not despising "a broken and a contrite heart"! (Psalm 51:17) So do we have, here, one more of several reasons why Yahuah Hayah forgives? Did not one's bringing the sacrifice for the atonement of His Torah require "a broken and a contrite heart"?

Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ) said: "I am ... come to call ... sinners to repentance!" (Matthew 9:13) Does "repentance" not require "a contrite heart"?

So, when Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ) said, "This is My blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins" (Matthew 26:28), we must recognize that, although His blood was shed "for" or in behalf of many, "for" the forgiveness by which Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s children become righteous, it was not the agent by which that forgiveness was to be obtained!

After all, forgiveness is the merciful release from punishment that a person gives who has been wronged or violated! Shed blood is not a person!

Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ) taught that "your heavenly Father will ... forgive you" (Matthew 6:14); and, when He wanted forgiveness for those who had nailed Him to the cross, He prayed: "Father, forgive them." (Luke 23:34)

In His children's sinning, the Father is wronged and violated; and He is the One Who forgives! Does He do that only because His Son's blood was shed?

King David's insight into Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s willingness to forgive (Psalm 51:17) was centuries before Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ) would shed His blood; and His teaching on the Father's willingness to forgive (Matthew 6:14) was, obviously, before He died! So we really need to seek a better understanding of why His blood would be "shed for many for the remission of sin"! (Matthew 26:28)

That understanding comes, when we pay attention to what Yeshua ha Mawshiyach Himself said about His impending death: He prayed, to His Father, concerning His disciples: "For their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth!" (John 17:19)

Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ) said, to Pilate, who would give the order that He be flogged and crucified: "To this end was I born and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth!" (John 18:37) He said earlier: "31 If ye continue in My word, then are ye My disciples indeed! 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free!" (John 8:31 and 32)

So, when we notice how Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) wrote through His author that perfecting the "conscience" (Hebrews 9:9) of His children is the object of His sacrifices or purging it (Verse 14), including the sacrificing of His own Son (Verse 14), we begin to see the importance of truth in the matter of His forgiving them; for one's "conscience" is his "moral consciousness" (Strong: Greek: 4893) or his sense of right and wrong! And that certainly requires that he know "the truth" about what is right and wrong!

But Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s children can only know that truth from His "voice" (Deuteronomy 28:1) in their hearts and from the "commandments" (Verse 1) of His Torah that His voice guides them to "observe to do"! (Verse 1)

Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ) said: "I am ... come to call ... sinners to repentance!" (Matthew 9:13) "Sinners" sin! And Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) wrote, through His faithful apostle: "Sin is the transgression of the law!" (1st John 3:4)

Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s promise through Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ) is that His "Spirit of truth ... will guide you into all truth" (John 16:13); and He wrote, through His psalmist: "Thy law is the truth" (Psalm 119:142); and "All Thy commandments are truth." (Verse 151)

So getting His children back to keeping His covenant with them is what Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s "New Covenant with the house of Israel" (Jeremiah 31:31) was about! He wrote, through His prophet: "I will put My law in their inward parts and write it in their hearts!" (Verse 33)

Sending His Son to establish His "New Covenant with the house of Israel" (Jeremiah 31:31) was Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s ultimate effort to get His children back to keeping the commandments of His Torah, His using the blood of His own Son with which to solemnize His covenant and, at the same time, "purge" (Hebrews 9:14) His children's "conscience" (Verses 9 and 14) of all the excuses to sin that they had stored away in it.

At the same time, we have, within New Testament writings, the teaching of Paul, who wrote: "24 Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood, to declare His righteousness for the remission of sins!" (Romans 3:24 and 25)

The word "redemption" means "ransom"! (Strong: Greek: 627) Presumably, Yeshua ha Mawshiyach's blood was shed to pay something required by Paul's God because "all have sinned"! (Romans 3:23) And one's "faith in His blood" was the belief in its paying the ransom that made it effective for the believer!

But, when we understand that Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ)'s blood was to "purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God" (Hebrews 9:14), we can see how Yeshua's blood did pay what His Father required to accomplish that purging, thus being the "ransom" by which to "call sinners to repentance" (Matthew 9:13), which got them back to keeping Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s Torah, which provides the "righteousness" (Deuteronomy 6:25) by which to "enter into the kingdom of God"! (Matthew 5:20)

So in his round about way, Paul did confirm the basic doctrine taught by Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ) concerning the purpose of His own death! Yahuah Hayah's sacrifice of His Son, had power to forgive, by making "conscience" (Hebrews 9:9 and 14) of His child "perfect" (Verse 9) or to "purge" (Verse 14) it, for the "contrite heart" (Psalm 51:17) or for the child of His who has forgiven "men their trespasses"! (Matthew 6:14)

So I am bewildered by Paul's insisting that "ye could not be justified by the law of Moses" (Acts 13:39), thus seeming to nullify Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) promise through Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ), through Moses: "It shall be our righteousness, if we observe ["keep", "guard" (Strong: Hebrew: 8104) or put a value on] to do all these commandments before Yehuah our God!" (Deuteronomy 6:25)

In fact, Paul wrote that "whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace"! (Galatians 5:4), "Christ is become of no effect unto you." (Verse 4)

An evangelist was taken to Heaven, where he saw Paul; so I believe Paul's heart was right before Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM); but he surely did throw confusion into our efforts to understand Yahuah's salvation through Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ), when Yeshua said, of Moses: "46 He wrote of Me! 47 If ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe My words?" (John 5:46 and 47)

So we find that within Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s Holy Bible are variations in teaching that can be terribly confusing! And being confused about one's eternal salvation is dangerous! So we are obliged to turn to the "voice of Yahuah, thy God" (Deuteronomy 28:1), to which He referred all His children for His "blessings" (Verse 2), as the final arbiter in such variations; He said, through Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ):

15 If ye love Me, keep My commandments! 16 And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever, 17 even the Spirit of truth! (John 14:15 to 17)

Of Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s Kodesh Ruach or Holy Spirit, Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ) said: "He will guide you into all truth!" (John 16:13) So we need not despair of obtaining the truth of His forgiveness, righteousness or salvation, and why He shed His blood, if we truly seek it.

I pray that this information I have given you is true in Yahuah Hayah's sight, that it can be stored in your spirit for great and beneficial use to you as the days go by and that we might hear from you now and then as you find it working its wonders in your life!

Father, by my "faith in God" (Mark 11:22), I "speak" (Mark 11:23), to Your children, and command that they be given the knowledge and understanding of You by which to know why you forgive!

I rejoice (John 15:11) that You are faithful to fulfill Your children's powerful use of their "dominion ... over every living thing that moveth upon the Earth"! (Genesis 1:28) I know you answered this prayer, in ha Kodesh Ruach, Your Holy Spirit, the moment I said it; so I "believe" I "receive" (Mark 11:24), even now, a family of brothers and sisters who are rejoicing in their confidence that You have always forgiven all Your children whose hearts are right toward You.

I pray that Yahuah Hayah shall bless you mightily, throughout the coming week, and that you will realize in your heart how important you are to the ministry that He has given to Faith Harvest Israel to see that His truth is learned, believed and carried out by all His children throughout the world, so many of whom are in such desperate need of it.

Amen! Alleluia!
