Forgiving by Faith

Hi! I'm Pastor Floyd! I wish I had a photograph of you, too, so that I could visualize to whom I am talking! But Yahuah Hayah, the Self-Existent, Eternal I AM, Creator of the universe and King over it, knows who you are; and that's all that matters!

At this point in your participation in the service, I recommend that you go to Sabbath Ritual and participate in the prayer in which we like to engage each week, as I do each morning, to avail ourselves of Yahuah Hayah's "Power of Agreement" (Matthew 18:19) for the basic things that all of us must have each day of our lives! Although repetitious and time-consuming, doing that will bless you, the fellowship and all of His children in the universe! It is what some people call "getting prayed up"!

As for the thoughts that Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) gave me for this Sabbath, He said, through Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ): "If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and, if he repent, forgive him." (Luke 17:3) That instruction puts the responsibility for the needed forgiveness on the one needing it; but, while He hung on His cross, dying, Yeshua ha Mawshiyach prayed: "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do!" (Luke 23:34)

Few of us have any idea "what we do" in affecting others for good or for ill! We have no way of accurately assessing the effects, both immediate and long ranged, in the smallest thing that we do or say! Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) said, through Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ): "I say, unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment!" (Matthew 12:36)

In the recent understanding developed among scientists that the universe is comprised of energy rather than particles, the energy is dynamic and affects everything around it to the farthest reaches of the universe! And it is affected by what we think or believe!

So the prayer Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ) spoke in behalf of His enemies while hanging on His cross puts waiting on their repentance in question and brings, to the matter of forgiveness, an entirely new dimension!

Yes, a person's "repentance" (Matthew 9:13) does cause Yahuah Hayah to forgive him, as does forgiving "men their trespasses"! (Matthew 6:14) But, when Yeshua ha Mawshiyach prayed that His Father forgive those who nailed Him to the cross, any repentance by those needing it was, certainly, absent! So I would have to surmise that a prayer for forgiveness for those who obviously have not repented would be a prayer for circumstances to be brought on them that would cause them to repent; and "with God all things are possible"! (Matthew 19:26)

To pray for Yahuah Hayah's forgiving those we know have not repented requires "faith in God"! (Mark 11:22) And that is the kind of faith He commanded through Yeshua ha Mawshiyach that we "have"! (Verse 22) It is the kind of faith where, "when ye pray [you] believe that ye receive [the answer to your prayer]! And He has assured us that "ye shall have" (Verse 24) the answer to that prayer, which has already been answered in His Kodesh Ruach or Holy Spirit!"

We have not seen the answer to that for which we prayed only a moment ago! So believing that we receive it requires that we believe the words of Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) through Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ), which tell us that the answer is there to be believed and received. He said, through His "Word" (John 1:1): "The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life!" (John 6:63)

Neither have we seen the beneficial result of praying for our enemy and forgiving him! But to believe that result has been achieved and to receive it is the immediate cause for rejoicing that believing any other prayer must bring, if we are truly walking in the "faith in God" (Mark 11:22) that He has commanded from us.

This practice ties in, well, with Yahuah Hayah's instruction through Yeshua ha Mawshiyach that you "love your enemies"! (Matthew 5:44) We are to "love", "bless", "do good to" and "pray for" them; and "enemies" are certainly not people who have repented! That is why they are still "enemies"!

But the practice works! I have tried it, now, for years! And the healing and redeeming effect of that pouring out of one's love toward people who have for whatever reason thought they should hurt him or her is a precious and satisfying experience!

I recommend loving one's enemies to anyone, as Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM)'s desire for us, His beloved children, rather than the terrible alternative, which is to go on hating and hurting one's enemies, which merely exasperates and escalates the enmity, to the destruction of both the hurting and the hurters!

Loving, blessing, doing good to and praying for one's enemy certainly includes the desire that he be forgiven, which then waits on the circumstances that "our Father Who art in Heaven" (Matthew 6:9) brings upon him, to "call" him "to repentance". (Matthew 9:13)

Forgiving one's enemies is easier when he realizes that for anyone to hurt us requires Yahuah Hayah's permission! In regard to Job, He "said, unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand!" (Job 1:12)

Job had a problem in his heart concerning his Creator! And, by giving Satan permission to deal harshly with Job, Yahuah Hayah was able to help Job overcome that problem to where He could deliver Job from the distress it was causing him.

So, also, do we have spiritual problems, which Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) helps us to overcome sometimes by allowing Satan to hurt us through our enemies! Otherwise, if we have set our "love upon (Psalm 91:14) Yahuah "there shall no evil befall thee" (Verse 10); and "only with thine eyes shalt thou ... see the reward of the wicked"! (Verse 8)

Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) could not make that promise, if He did not have the power to permit or to restrain the hate of the enemy from showing itself in hateful deeds! So, whether we understand it or not, we bear a measure of responsibility, even when harm that comes to us is by the hand of another! For it is, still, part of "the judgments of Yahuah" (Psalm 19:9), which are "true and righteous altogether"! (Verse 9)

To see things in that light requires humility! Anyone having yielded to a spirit of false pride will not acknowledge that he or she deserved what he got! And that cuts him off from the understanding of the situation by which he is able to learn from it and be better able to handle situations in the future!

"False pride" is the work of a lying spirit to tempt one to assume responsibility for having created the universe and himself in it; have you ever heard of a "self-made man", the man who believes that he alone has determined what he has become?

Our "dominion ... over every living thing that moveth upon the Earth" (Genesis 1:28) permits us to determine many things; but that determining only works on that which Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) has already created! And the power of our dominion to affect anything is dependent upon the moving of His Kodesh Ruach or Holy Spirit!

The same relativity is true in "genetic engineering"! Some people see that activity as playing with the power to create! But in truth it is only the power to combine in different ways what Yahuah Hayah has already created. Not one of us is capable of creating a single particle of DNA.

So, truly, no man exists who is the result solely of his own creativity! But, because Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) has permitted us to determine things after the fact of His creating us, we often live in the delusion that we have determined everything! And to admit that He alone has provided the stage on which He is permitting us merely to act is to strip one's self of the presumed importance we tend to assume in the creating of the stage!

If Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) did create through Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ), His beloved "Word" (John 1:1) and "only begotten Son" (John 3:16), the stage and continues to provide the power we use to act on it, all things are subject to Him and to whatever He ordains for each one of us, whether to reward us or to punish us.

Again, "The judgements of Yahuah are true and righteous altogether!" And His judgments could not be "true and righteous", if He was not capable of determining exactly how they affect His children for good or ill! He said, through Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ):

Whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased! And he who shall humble himself shall be exalted! (Matthew 23:12)

The same truth works, equally well, on the enemy's side. Forgiving him does not seem fair, when surely, by the hurtfulness of his actions, he "deserves" to be hurt back! And we get our sense of justice rightly, being made "in the image of God" (Genesis 1:27), Who is the essense of perfect justice.

But Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM) said, through Yeshua (Jesus) ha Mawshiyach (the Messiah or Christ): "Judge not, that ye be not judged!" (Matthew 7:1) And the reason for that is that we are not "God, Who knoweth the hearts"! (Acts 15:8) So we are not competent to judge another, at least not with the full measure of understanding that our Father in Heaven has of us.

Paul quotes a scripture that I have never been able to find! But it rings true to me! "Vengeance is Mine! I will repay, saith Yahuah." (Romans 12:19)

So we can trust, completely, Yahuah (Self-Existent, Eternal) Hayah (I AM), in all that is happening to us, for its being what He has for us, regardless of its painfulness or severity! He wrote, through His psalmist:

1 Fret not thyself, because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity! 2 For they shall soon be cut down, like the grass, and wither, as the green herb! 3 Trust in the Lord and do good! So shalt thou dwell in the land! And, verily, thou shalt be fed! 4 Delight thyself also in the Lord! And He shall give thee the desires of thine heart! 5 Commit thy way unto the Lord! Trust in Him; and He shall bring it to pass! 6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness, as the light, and thy judgment, as the noonday! (Psalm 37:1 to 6)

I pray that this information I have given you is true in Yahuah Hayah's sight, that it can be stored in your spirit for great and beneficial use to you as the days go by and that we might hear from you now and then as you find it working its wonders in your life!

Father, by my "faith in God" (Mark 11:22), I "speak" (Mark 11:23), to Your children, and command that they be given the knowledge and understanding of You by which to forgive even their enemies by faith!

I rejoice (John 15:11) that You are faithful to fulfill Your children's powerful use of their "dominion ... over every living thing that moveth upon the Earth"! (Genesis 1:28) I know you answered this prayer, in ha Kodesh Ruach, Your Holy Spirit, the moment I said it; so I "believe" I "receive" (Mark 11:24), even now, a family of brothers and sisters who are rejoicing in their seeing Your amazing hand at work in response to their loving and forgiving even their enemies!

I pray that Yahuah Hayah shall bless you mightily, throughout the coming week, and that you will realize in your heart how important you are to the ministry that He has given to Faith Harvest Israel to see that His truth is learned, believed and carried out by all His children throughout the world, so many of whom are in such desperate need of it.

Amen! Alleluia!
